TUESDAY EVENING CONCERTS AT WOODLAND PARK:
The best things in life are free and the 13-concert Portage Summer Music Series, running June through August. The series starts with the popular area entertainers Jim Bulanda “Salute to the Stars” Tribute Show, Tuesday evening, June 4th, 2019 from 6:00-7:30pm.
The FREE concert will be held at the gazebo, so bring a lawn chair. It will move indoors in case of rain, in Oakwood Grand Hall at Woodland Park, located at 2100 Willowcreek Road, in Portage.
Bring the whole family to enjoy this one-of-a-kind song and comedy show! In addition, a food and refreshments concession by Von’s Catering, as well as a cash bar, add to the fun!
Remaining Portage Summer Music Series concerts also will take place Tuesday evenings, 6:00 to 7:30pm, in Oakwood Grand Hall.
SUNDAY AFTERNOON CONCERTS AT FOUNDERS SQUARE:
Enjoy a Sunday of fabulous FREE live musical entertainment– right here in Portage, Indiana, at the first big music fest of summer 2019, outdoors at Founders Square Park! Part of the 2019 Portage Summer Music Series, Founders Square three-band concert fests will be held the first Sunday of June, July, August and September! Founders Square Park is located on the north side of the new Portage Fire Station #3 at 6300 Central Avenue, in Portage, Indiana.
SUNDAY, JUNE 1ST 2019: Dixie Crush at 3:30, Dec8d at 5:30 And Mellencourgar at 7:30, a Northwest Indiana favorite, is a top-notch band playing tribute to the Indiana NativeJohn Cougar Mellencamp.
Concert-goers may wish to bring a blanket or lawn chair. Bring a picnic basket or, also available at the music fest, food and refreshments may be purchased at food trucks, and a Wine/Beer tent by Clancy’s will also be on the premises. For shade– or If rain threatens, bring an umbrella: concerts will be held in all but violent weather.

Donations of non-perishable food, personal items, and paper products for the Portage Food Pantry and Gabriel’s Horn Women’s Homeless Shelter are welcomed for collection at every concert, but are not required.
The Portage Summer Music Series is produced in collaboration with Portage Township Live Entertainment Association (PTLEA), the Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce, and the Portage Department of Parks. The Founders Square Park concert series is made possible by the City of Portage Founders Fund, a 501 (c) (3) fund held by Porter County Community Foundation, and Indiana Dunes Tourism.
