Indy 500 Car Featured Halloween Weekend in Crown Point

The 2nd Annual Crown Point Concours Collector Car Show will be held October 29-31st at the Industrial Building at Lake County Fairgrounds in Crown Point, Indiana. This indoor exhibit of over 30 vehicles will feature both rare, curious and seldom seen autos from local collections AND cars belonging to local enthusiasts who want to display their “pride and joy.”

Also appearing, on loan from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, is the 1951 Indy 500 winner driven by Lee Wallard and owned by Murrell Belanger, of Crown Point. The daughter of the local Belanger is a local Crown Point Resident.

Some cars on display include race cars from the 1930s and ‘40s,  including vehicles that raced on dirt tracks in Rensselaer, Indiana. As an added feature, Halloween-related activities will take place throughout the weekend. Daily hours are 5-10 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

This diverse collection includes autos from Duesenberg, Stutz, Ferrari, Willys, Jaguar, dragsters and more. Also we are proud and honored to feature the 1951 Indianapolis 500 winner driven by Lee Wallard, built and owned by Murrell Belanger of Crown Point. The famous #99 car is on loan from The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum.
