La Porte Candlelight Tour

     If you prefer candlelight, nostaliga, and historic homes decorated for Christmas during the holidays, we invite you to join in the Christmas Candlelight Tour of Historic Homes on Saturday December 2nd  from 3:00 – 7:00 pm and on Sunday December. 3rd, 2023 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm CST.

     Each year private homes in LaPorte’s historic district open their doors to display holiday decorations and tours of their homes. Laporte county is known for their very large, and intricate homes that were built in the 1800s. You won’t find homes built like these anymore.
     Thousands of people from all over the midwest flock to this special event held only once a year. Each Location has live Christmas music from local musicians. The event also includes live music at each location and refreshments at the Church.
     The tour includes several private homes with tour maps and tickets at the First United Methodist Church located at 1225 Michigan Avenue.  All  sites will be open for self-guided touring, and will be decorated for the holiday season.  Tickets and Tour Guide maps will be available that day For $30 at the First United Methodist Church (cash or check only) at 1225 Michigan Avenue.  Every location has live music playing by local musicians.
