Where to Go For Christmas Lights

     Seems like the one thing popular this year during the Pandemic is to go see Christmas lights from the safety of your own car. We’ve compiled a list of Very Popular places for you to enjoy in the Northwest Indiana Region.
     Folks are wanting to celebrate the season and give their families the joy of the season, and seeing Christmas lights is a growing activity.

     The “Symphony of Lights Display” Drive Thru, Open in 2021! Nov 26th – Jan 2nd, Open Fri., Sat and Sun;  $10 per car, 13701 Lauerman St., Cedar Lake Ministries,  219-374-5941. 
     “Wonderland of Lighted Christmas,” Downtown Mainstreet, cash prizes awarded, hosted by the Cedar Lake Chamber of Commerce, 374-6157. 

     Winter Wonderland Decorated Home, 2021, 6602 W. 127th Pl, 6:30 – 10pm, 
     Winter Wonderland Decorated Christmas Home, 2021, 6602 W. 127th Pl., 6:30 pm – 10pm, now thru Christmas.

Bozak Family Christmas Light SHow Burns Harbor Indiana Valpolife
     Bozak Family Light Show, Burns Harbor, 2021,
Lights come on 11/27 @ 4:30pm for the first time of 2020! This is a FREE Christmas light show. There are multiple songs and the lights are computer programmed to dance to the music. Tune your car radio to 92.5fm. 259 Lake Park Rd., Burns Harbor (off Highway 20) Facebook Link.

    Logans Lights, 463 E. Greening Rd., Donations go to Toys for Tots.The lights come on from 4:30pm until about 9:30pm every day beginning the day after Thanksgiving and ending on Christmas. We take them down on December 26th.

     Leluga’s Lights on Sunrise, 2021 3535 Sunrise Dr., Crown  point. Donations go to the Holy Spirit Food Bank. Lights on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Some display items are a 14-foot spiral tree with 3,200 green and red incandescent lights, 3 leaping arches with 3,100 white incandescent lights, chasing 3 and 4 foot trees and 4 10-foot star bursts with LED RGB color changing stars!    Gard’s Christmas Display,  A lot of vintage bulbs go into the display every year. New bulbs just don’t have the richness of color, and are too bright. All year he searches auctions and sales for strings and boxes of bulbs, and it all comes together in December. The Gard Christmas Display is located at 441 S East St, Crown Point Indiana, 46307. It will be running nightly thru New Years Eve, from sunset until midnight. Facebook.

    Holton Ridge west of Crown Point Square. Is renamed as Candy Cane Lane at Christmas time, whole group of houses are lighted up,  just north of square (off Summit) neighborhood light extravaganza.

    Tour of Lights – December 7th – 11th, 2021 The Tour of Lights event will be self-guided this year due to COVID restrictions.  Homes that would like to participate can call 219-662-3290 to sign up. Residents will be able to vote for their favorite house and view the map of all the decorated homes signed up beginning Saturday, December 12th on our website The winner will be announced at the January City Council Meeting on January 4th at 7pm.
   Christmas on 124th Ave. 2021  7731 E. 124th Ave., Winfield (Lakes of Four Seasons) Facebook Lights on from 5pm – 10pm.  Enjoy thousands of lights synchronized to music from November 25-January 2.
   Thornhill Lights, 2021,     Facebook Page. The Musical show restarts every 25 minutes, runs nightly from Thanksgiving to New Years Day form 4:30pm to 10pm. Stop by and enjoy the show. station 98.3

     Magical LIght Show, Opening Nov 26th 2021 –
Enjoy the Magical Light Show. When parking please turn off headlights (you can also park in Stardust parking north side). The light show is best seen without any other lights. Also please be respectful to our neighbors. : Please park behind in stardust parking and walk over through the field. We always have issues with too much traffic so avoid it and just park. Drop off Letters to Santa as well. 5pm – 10pm, Tune in to 87.9FM. 1315 Capri Lane,
        Rodda’s Winter Wonderland Decorated Home 2021 in Dyer (2833 Lancelot Lane) One of the largest displays in Northwest Indiana. The display is lit every night from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve. Santa Claus and the Grinch make appearances on Saturday evenings, so come by with your family and friends, take pictures, make memories, and enjoy the Christmas Season! Website
     North Pole on Northgate:2021 509 Northgate Dr.,  What started out as a collection of inflatables has turned into an LED explosion of lights, figurines, a walkway and a kaleidoscope of colors all over the place. Enjoy from your car or take a walk under the illuminated archways down the sidewalk. On nightly until midnight!
     Christmas on Aspen, 2021 Open every day from 5pm – 11pm,
 You can find it at 544 Aspen Dr. Feel free to take pics with the classic Santa in front of the garage or if you’re looking for something a little more interesting you can take pics by the 12 foot skeleton Santa. Driving around the neighborhood I’m seeing a lot more people decorating this year so I just want to say I’m very proud of the people of Pheasant hills and Dyer as a whole. This is their third Christmas for their Light Display.

     “Christmas on the Beech,” Homeowners want to spread the Christmas spirit! Everyone is welcome to take pictures with their children while they enjoy their decorations! 7551 Beech Ave, Hammond, They have their own Facebook Page.

     Fa La La La Lights at Duncan’s Christmas,
936 Spruce Street2021 5pm – 10pm every day., 

Decorated Christmas Home- 502 S Rensselaer Griffith
     502 S. Rensselaer, 2021 Begins November 23 and runs 5:00pm – 10:00pm nightly. Feel free to walk around on the sidewalk and up to the garage. Decorated front, side, and a North Pole scene in garage.


     “Lana’s Land of Christmas.” 2021 3105 Highway Ave., Facebook Display goes on Thanksgiving night at 5pm,  It is more of a traditional display with some DIY, tweaking of decorations, and our arch way with 4200 lights, Open thru Jan 3rd. 

     Lighting Up Delaware Street, 2021 8434 Delaware St., Highland, donations go to Toys for Tots. Facebook.

     Decorated home in Highland, 2021 3147 Franklin St., Lights with very large, life like Christmas characters, projections, music, a full Candyland and 10ft colored trees! Bring the family by and check it out  Lights will be on until the end of the year from dusk till 10pm.  

    Peters Family Decorated Home, 2021.  3635 E. 33rd Ave.,   Show runs daily through New Years day. Light show is timed to music and can be listened to in your car on 92.7FM 6pm to 10pm daily until New Years Day.

    “The Werner Christmas Wonderland,” Open in 2021, 9108 Morton St. Merrillville,In 46410. Hours 5-12 every night. Thanksgiving- New Years Day. Follow all for updates and special appearances. Christmas lights for people to come enjoy!! I will continue to do this as long as I can. The lights will start Thanksgiving night and will be in nightly through New Years Eve from 5pm to Midnight.      Festival of Lights, 2021, this is a walking tour of trees in the Park, vote on your favorite tree, held at Prairie West Park, 93rd Ave and W. Oakridge Dr., hosted by parks and rec.     Red Lily way Christmas Light Show, 2021, From Thursday November 26, 2021 through Dec. 31st., runs daily from 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm. Run time for each show is approximately 45 minutes. Many new props in 2021, new songs and videos on the mega wreath. This year will include an antique cutter sleigh to climb in for photo ops on selective nights, an interactive naughty/nice meter that children can push to know if they have been nice.
