Valparaiso Car, Bike, Truck and Swap Meet kicks off on Sunday, August 27th, 2023 and it’s back bigger and better than ever before. And, it’s still free to show your Car! ($5 admission fee for everyone and $5 vehicle entry fee. Kids under 10 are free).
Hosted by Valpo Shows the show is open from 9 am – 3pm, with car registrations at 8am – 11am. The swap meet area opens for set up at 6am, and is only $20 for pre-registration for a 10′ x 20 space, and Registration that day is available for only $20 – set up is from 6am – 9am.
The Valpo Car Show and Swap meet had been around over 30 years. For many years, the Valpo Car Show & Swap Meet is held in the the Spring and Fall. They are anticipating about 200 – 400 cars.
After talking with several car owners, it became clear that car owners believe the car shows are too expensive to enter; don’t give out enough awards; and drag on too long. That’s why this show makes it free to show or sell your car.
Owner, Mark Halliar, took over the Car Show in 2019 and it continues to be the same for now and into the future. “There will be 53 award categories and the awards are announced at 2pm,” continued Mark Halliar.
There will also be 4-5 food vendors, refreshments, and the Beer Garden will be open from 11am – 3pm.
The Car Show will also has excellent Awards that are given out. They have discovered some beautiful, new, engraved plaques for the winners this year. There will be a Best of Show, Best Engine, Best Paint categories with an additional 50 awards. Judging begins at Noon.
