200 Years Along the Southshore

     The Southshore CVA hosts several exhibits a year and also hosts several events a year. Among them are: Explore the Southshore in April/May; A Christmas Story during the Holidays, Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and many more.     
    Two-hundred years of history is on display at the Indiana Welcome Center in celebration of the Indiana Dunes Region.  

     The South Shore CVA has partnered with a number of historical societies to tell the stories of the people, industries and history of northwest Indiana. Photographs, artifacts, clothing, farm equipment, war and sports memorabilia and are often on display in the W.F. Wellman Exhibit Hall. The exhibit is free and open to the public seven days a week.

     In conjunction with each exhibit, the South Shore CVA will also welcomes a special opening reception. The receptions are open to all participants and their family and friends. Call 219-989-7770 for more information about each special receptions.

          The Indiana Welcome Center is located at 7770 Corinne Drive in Hammond, Indiana. Patrons are encouraged to learn more about rotating exhibits in the W.F. Wellman Exhibit Hall.
