valentines symphony concert with Yana Reznik on piano

Valentine’s with the Symphony

Join the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra and Music Director/Conductor Kirk Muspratt for “Dance & Romance – A Valentine’s Journey” on Friday, February 10 at 7:30pm at The Auditorium at Bethel Church (10202 Broadway, Crown Point.)  The concert will feature Yana Reznik, piano.

Take a romantic journey around the world with these lively and lush musical Valentines. The overture to the comic opera Donna Diana adds a Spanish flare (by way of Canada) to the classic hijinks of lovers in denial. Travel down the Rhine with Siegfried and Brünnhilde as they hail their light-bringing love. The middle-eastern flare of the Gardens of Spain will be brought to life by popular pianist Yana Reznik. The cheerful and optimistic Bohemian Dvorák 8 will call us all to the dance.

“Yana is an astonishing soloist who has taken Chicago by storm,” said Maestro Muspratt. “Plus she will be playing a concerto we have never done before. DeFalla’s piece is inspired by the great fortress of the Moorish kings, Alhambra.

Moscow-born pianist, speaker, producer, host, entrepreneur, and cultural leader, Yana Reznik’s passionate performances and compelling storytelling have captivated  the hearts of thousands of concert goers on her many tours across the United States. Known as the “Pianist with a Voice” Yana breaks with tradition by creating innovative programs that bring the beauty of classical music to wider and more diverse audiences.

Tickets are $29-$69 with student tickets at just $10. All ticket holders are invited to join the Maestro before the show at 6:15 for a pre-concert lecture about the evening’s concert.

This concert is generously sponsored by Sue & Andy Arnold, Crown Point Community Foundation, BMO Harris Bank, The Henry G. Giragos Family, and MonoSol.
