The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority won the Silver W3 Award – Mobile App category, presented by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, for the South Shore Brewery Trail App. The App is free and available on Google Play and the Apple Store and highlights 20 Region Breweries, special events and featured beers.
The 2016 W3 Awards competition received nearly 5,000 entries worldwide and honored a number of outstanding websites, web marketing, web video, and mobile sites and Apps, including the South Shore CVA’s Brewery Trail App.
The South Shore Brewery Trail App was launched in the Fall of 2015 and has had nearly 3,600 downloads. It’s a geo-centric application, which shows the closest breweries to the user’s current location. The user can also search by beer category and special tappings/events.
