The Porter County Fair scheduled to run July 23rd thru Aug. 1 2020 has been cancelled.
The Grandstand was scheduled to feature top-notch entertainment every evening of the Porter County Fair. Other than first-class concerts you can experience planned was the Fireworks, demolition derbies, tractor pulls, Horse Shows and more! “A fair must continually evolve,” stated Dave Bagnall,” Fair Manager.
The major headliners scheduled for 2020 will be performing in 2021.
After much discussion and careful consideration for the well-being of our fair volunteers, vendors, and patrons, and due to the recent regulations set by the Purdue Extension (the governing body of Indiana 4-H), it’s with great sadness that we announce this year’s Porter County Fair (July 23–Aug 1, 2020) has been cancelled. 4-H Exhibitions will be held digitally, and Grandstand concerts are being rescheduled to next year. Ticket holders will receive an email with updates, and given an opportunity to refund their tickets within the next week.
We understand that many of you will have questions, and ask that you first refer to our website: www.PorterCountyFair.com/covid-19 for answers. Our volunteers will do their best to respond to your comments and messages as soon as possible.
The fair is put on entirely by volunteers who put their blood, sweat, tears, and love into the fair—and we are as heartbroken as you are. Please respect those who work hard to make the fair a reality every year and refrain from negativity during this time. We are also mourning the loss of our favorite 10 days of summer, and missing the friendships that will have to be put on hold until next year. We would like to thank our volunteers, and the entertainment, food, retail, and carnival vendors, for their understanding. We hope to see you all next year when Porter County Fair will return stronger than ever for it’s 170th year.
