This exhibit will feature photography that extends the emotions of “Reframing Yesterday” and will include a short primer on the conception of Photography, and personal memories from some of the artists. Using individual photographers’ point of view, they will endeavor to show how they create, react to, and sustain memories in a photograph. There are no limits to the imagination and the results will illustrate truly creative thinking outside the box.
There will be an exhibit of vintage cameras and equipment, and co-chair, Carol Estes, writer of poetry and prose, will release her first-published companion book “Memories Evoked” at First Friday. The book is a companion piece written for the Memories Evoked Photography Show she is co-chairing at the Southern Shore Art Association. The artists’ books and gift items will be available in the Gallery Shop.
The Southern Shore Art Gallery is a non-profit association and has become known for monthly themed exhibitions which give established and emerging artists an opportunity to exhibit and sell their work.
