Get your hands dirty with a day of planting native plant plugs in the Great Marsh on November 16th from approximately 9am to 1pm! Tasks include using hand tools to create holes and planting plugs from the NPS greenhouse, involving some bending and carrying a 10-pound bucket. Work will be done along the Great Marsh trail, near the bird overlook.
The unit is relatively firm with uneven ground and low water levels in some places. Volunteers would be encouraged to park at the larger Great Marsh Trailhead lot. Bring muck boots or waders if you have them (limited pairs available), along with water, sunscreen, bug spray, and appropriate clothing, including a long sleeve shirt.
