Two years in the making, the popular Fox Art Gallery Variety Open Mic has returned. The Pandemic hit the arts and artists hard. One of those people affected, was Georgia Fox Hatfield and The Fox Gallery. Now, on Saturday, June 17th they are bringing The Variety Open Mic to Mighty Micks in Winfield, Indiana.This Variety Open Mic will be open to all genres of performers.
After six years in business, the Fox Gallery was forced to close it’s doors in November of 2020. In 2023 Fox Gallery curated an art show at the Sip Coffee House, and Georgia Fox Hatfield’s artwork is now online as a result. Georgia was known for hosting Friday night Open Mics every week at the Fox Gallery. So the ability to host her weekly Open Mics was halted, until now!

That same challenge due to the Pandemic, also hit Sue Baxter with Panoramanow in the same way. Both Sue and Georgia were dependant on face to face interactions for their businesses. This challenge has led to a creative solution. Sue and Georgia have teamed up to bring Arts related events to Northwest Indiana. They worked together to bring the NWI Talent Show to the Region in March. Now, on Saturday, June 17th they are bringing The Variety Open Mic to Mighty Micks in Winfield, Indiana. This Variety Open Mic will be open to all genres of performers.

From singers, musicians, comedians, spoken work, magicians, dancers, rappers, and bands, all are welcome. It’s a very inclusive event and Mighty Micks offers a nightclub atmosphere. There is a $10.00 cover charge, and for performers that is only $5. In addition, Sue and Georgia want to offer performers opportunities to enhance their marketing. Head shots and high resolution videos can be taken for You Tube and Tik Tok. Georgia, a singer herself, is in the band “Vintage Souls,” and both Sue and Georgia know all too well that performers and artists must market themselves to get opportunities.
Mighty Micks is located in a strip Mall Off of Randolph St at 10727 Randolph St, Winfield, In. 46307, (turn at the McDonalds). Sign ups to perform starts at 6:30 pm and the Variety Open Mic goes from 7 to 10pm! Please join this awesome event two years in the making! Dreams do come true and hard work, persistence, and patience are key! See you there! Cost for performers is $5 and cost for the audience is $10, tickets at the door.
