– Join the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra and Music Director/Conductor Kirk Muspratt for “Beethoven & Bernstein” Friday, March 24, 2017 at 7:30 pm at The Auditorium at Bethel Church in Crown Point. The concert will feature the Northwest Indiana Symphony’s principal oboist Jennet Ingle, countertenor Thomas Aláan, and the Symphony Chorus. Maestro Muspratt will conduct a pre-concert lecture for ticket holders at 6:15 pm.
Rejoice in the reverence of Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms. Sung in Hebrew, featuring countertenor Thomas Aláan, the work highlights the struggle between conflict and faith in the modern world. It’s a showcase for the chorus, harp and percussion section! Principal oboist Jennet Ingle returns to the spotlight to perform Mozart’s only Oboe Concerto, the first major concerto in the Oboe repertoire. Beethoven’s joyous and spontaneous 4th Symphony will leave everyone in high spirits.
“Reverent and remarkable, this concert is a showcase for our whole organization!” said Maestro Muspratt.
Tickets for the concert range from $29 -$69 each, students are $10, concert season subscriptions are still available, and GROUP SALES ARE AVAILABLE AT A DISCOUNT beginning at 10 people.
