Canterbury opens its 55th season of entertainment with ‘The Violet Hour’ by Richard Greenberg, a witty and romantic mystery set in Manhattan just prior to the Roaring Twenties!
John Pace Seavering, hoping to become a great publisher, sets up shop in a well-worn office, with his assistant, Gidger. John has enough money to publish just one book, so he must decide which project to bet on to ensure his firm’s continuing operation.
However, he receives a mysterious machine one day that could change his future, as well as for those near to him!
