Event Type

To all SLAC members and wannabe SLAC members!!! DIFFERENT THINGS A HAPPENIN’!

THE SLAC Studio Nights are held monthly and will be a bit different from now on.  Studio night will be on a SATURDAY. and will technically be studio afternoon, but will probably still be called studio night… haha). Lastly, studio night is extended by another hour!

So yeah this studio “night” will be held this Saturday, December 29th from 1-5PM. We are hoping that this weekend and earlier time allows for more artists to participate and join our artist community, try a new working environment, and most importantly, help get that piece finished!

So do you need to spend some more time on a piece? Want to get out of the house and feel good about creating some art? Please, give it a try and spend some time with us cool art kids this weekend at the TWELFTH studio night of 2018 (well, it finally happened folks, here we are again…and at the end of every month I continue to be mind blown over the fact that it’s the end of the month, and now it’s yet again the end of the flippin’ year I just got used to living in….). This is a great opportunity to hang out and work on your art projects or doodles amongst other fellow artists!

Cost is $5 per person at the door for the gracious use of the gallery’s time and space, so please come prepared with a few dollars to spare and support our wonderful home gallery.

Feel free to bring snacks to share, especially this month because it’s our Holiday Studio Night!!

We will also allow for artists to show whatever new creations they have been working on, discuss events, local calls for art, and possible SLAC field trip ideas, so feel free to go over artsy details and happenins throughout the day.

If you can’t make it at 1, it’s okay to come late!! That’s why we made the event so long–so it gives more artists opportunities to keep working on their art or come when their schedule allows. So come when you can! Of course, the earlier you get here, the more work you’ll be able to accomplish, but hey, your timeline, your schedule.

As usual, you’ll be responsible for providing all of your own materials, so bring any supplies you’re going to need. Table space and a seat will be available, but everything else is up to you. Most importantly – you MUST clean up ANY/ALL messes you make.

Remember, all artists (new or seasoned) are welcome! See you there! .
