14th Annual Gardening show is choc full of ideas, demonstrations and great garden items to get you going. If you thought we had a lot of seeds to choose from last year, donations have doubled that amount this year. They expect to open the Show with more than 20,000 packets of vegetable, herb, annual and perennial flower seeds!
Admission is $10 cash or check, free parking, ticket includes 5 tickets for seed packets, children under 12 free. Free Door Prizes.
You’ll receive 5 free tickets with your paid admission (cash or check, please) to exchange for seeds and bulbs that have been generously donated by businesses and individuals. If you’re like most gardeners who believe more is better, there are two ways to get more at this Exchange. Click here for the details, where you can also find instructions on how to donate seeds and bulbs.
New This Year: Wrist bands at admission instead of messy hand stamps. Right wrist. Easy to wear. Won’t smear or disappear. Your wrist band is your ticket to everything at the Show.
We’re also bringing back gently used garden items that still have a lot of life left in them. For instance, there’s a baker’s cart with grow lights, a mini green house, self-watering planters, a snow blower and vegetable cages — just to name a few. You’ll need to stop by The Happening Place early to snap up the best items. We’ll include a complete list in our next newsletter.
Vendors & Exhibitors Our show is a shopper’s dream with a gardening theme, featuring both new and long-cherished Vendors, while our not-for-profit Exhibitors will help you make a local connection to gardening and the environment.
Door Prizes Our vendors and exhibitors are most generous, too, most having donated their wares as door prizes. You’ll receive one free entry with your paid admission. Multiple prizes are awarded every hour during the Show, so listen for your name to be called!
(All seminar and demonstrations are included in your ticket price.)
Kicking off the day will be the horticulturist from the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. Scott Beuerlein is as entertaining as he is informative and we guarantee you’ll enjoy hearing him speak. A complete list of seminar topics is below, and you can find speaker bios here.
