Second Chance 4 Pets Network is participating in a pet adoption event Sunday, March 12 at Petco, located at 10235 Indianapolis Blvd. in Highland. This event will help find the perfect family for their foster animals.
Second Chance 4 Pets Network (SC4Pets) is a non-profit pet rescue, which participates in weekly pet adoptions. Volunteers and foster parents join forces to make sure each animal finds a secure and caring home.
The pet adoption itself will include some animals from the rescue, applications for adoption, a monetary donation box, brochures and t-shirts to purchase. SC4Pets also provides a binder filled with biographies of each animal looking to be adopted.
Jewel is a one-year-old kitten who was tossed out of a truck onto the road. This kitten was being neglected when someone brought her into SC4Pets. Jewel’s foster mother, Bridget Hillestad has been a volunteer at SC4Pets for about a year. Hillestad believes that the best part of adoptions is finding the animal a good home.
SC4Pets is looking to make sure the animal and the person are made for each other. Another volunteer, Stacy Mosca believes that each week’s events are magical.
“The excitement of knowing our foster pets forever families could possibly be at these events is fate,” Mosca said.
The pet adoption event gives the potential adopters an opportunity to interact with their soon to be foster animals. Each week SC4Pets goes to different venues for potential pet adoptions.
