Celebrate Independence Day in East Chicago!
Mayor Anthony Copeland invites you and your family to a special city-wide fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day!
This year, we’re bringing the celebration to your neighborhood. On the evening of Thursday, July 3rd, look to the sky from the comfort of your own home, porch, or backyard to enjoy a spectacular show.
DATE: Thursday, July 3rd, 2025
TIME: 9:30 PM
VIEWING: From your home!
To ensure everyone can see the show, fireworks will be launched simultaneously from 5 locations across the city:
- Old Carrie Gosch School
- Central High School
- Block Middle School
- Fire Station #2 (on Michigan Ave)
- Kosciuszko Park
IMPORTANT: For your safety and the safety of our staff, please DO NOT drive to or gather at these launch locations. The display is designed to be enjoyed from a distance.
Let’s celebrate together, safely!
