The City of Whiting invites everyone to join us for the filming of a Season 1 episode for History Channel’s™ new series, “Volo, House of Cars.” Filming will take place during our May 17th Cruise Night in Historic Downtown Whiting.
Volo Auto Museum is nationally known as a collector car dealer which features famous Hollywood cars. The City of Whiting and Volo Auto Museum began a working relationship in 2014. Residents and visitors alike from Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland enjoy Volo’s participation in our annual Summer Celebration Events. This partnership, established during the City of Whiting’s Hollywood Cruise Nights and July 4th parade, has led to the opportunity to land a Season 1 Episode on History Channel’s™ New Television Series, “Volo, House of Cars.”

Whiting Cruise Nights, organized by the Whiting Lions Club, showcase private collectors’ classic cars 1999 and older on 119th Street, registration is free, and event hours are 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Volo Auto Museum’s owner and operators the Grams family, Executive Producer, Julian Taylor and his team from Accord Productions will be on site for the filming of this Season 1 episode for History Channel’s™ new series, “Volo, House of Cars.”

Whiting is home to the infamous Pieorgi Festival, now in it’s 20th year, that is held the last weekend in July. In 2014, it was the city’s 125th year, so the City of Whiting had Mickey and Minnie as the grand marshals of the July 4th parade.
