Hair – The Musical

Hair - The Musical

HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical –
Book and Lyrics by James Rado & Gerome Ragni
Music by Galt McDermot
Directed by Bob Cooley
Come celebrate the sixties counterculture in all its long-haired, bell-bottomed, bare-footed, beaded, fringed and psychedelic glory. Feel the energetic rock beat of hit songs like “Aquarius,” “Good Morning Starshine,” “Hair,” “I Got Life,” and “Let the Sunshine In” in one of the most beloved (and yes, controversial) musicals of all time. Exploring identity, community, global responsibility, and peace, HAIR remains as relevant as ever as it examines what it means to be a young person in an ever changing world. Hair debuted off-Broadway October 1967 and we honor its 50th Anniversary.
