Crown Brewing announced that St. Jude House is the official charity for this year’s Crown Beer Fest. They are joining forces in helping create awareness on domestic violence.
“Annually we choose a charity to support with a portion of the proceeds from this event. In years past we have donated to The American Heart Association and ARC,” stated Barb Smrecansky, Brand Development Manager of Crown Brewing. “We have chosen St. Jude House because we feel the importance of providing support to those in abusive situations who feel there is no help. St. Jude House is an amazing asset to Crown Point and the surrounding communities.” Crown Brewing is also partnering with St. Jude House in a new initiative: Raise the Bar Indiana, a bystander intervention training for alcohol serving establishments. They are one of the first establishments to jump on board in an effort to create safer spaces in the community.
