“Let it Snow” Christmas concert, will be held on Sunday, December 17th, 2017, by the Duneland Community Band at 5pm. Tickets are $3 for adults, held at the Barker Hall, 600 Franklin Street, 874-4355 www.dacband.org.
The Duneland Area Community Bands will present the fifth annual “Music of the Season – A Christmas Celebration” on Sunday December 6th the Holdcraft Arts Center (formerly Elston Middle School) in Michigan City. The performance will feature the DAC Symphonic, Intermediate and Beginning Bands and will begin at 5:00pm. Admission for the concert is $5 for adults and $2 for senior citizens and children.
The DAC Band Program has included students from Notre Dame School, Queen of All Saints School, St. Patrick School, St. Paul Lutheran School, St. Stanislaus School, St. Paul Catholic School, Discovery Charter School, Renaissance Academy, Michigan City Christian Academy and Marquette High School as well as home school students and students from the Michigan City and Duneland public schools. Rehearsals and lessons for DAC bands are held at Trinity Church in Michigan City, St. Patrick School in Chesterton and Sacred Heart Church in LaPorte. The DAC bands are always open to new students and everyone is encouraged to learn more about the program by going to the DAC Band website
