Theatre at the Center is hosting its annual casino night charity gala. This year’s theme is Denim and Diamonds – offering the perfect balance between comfort and glitz. Festivities will have a country and western flair with a little glamour thrown in for good measure. Slip on your cowboy boots and bling up your blue jeans and get ready for a fun night of casino style entertainment.
Event co-chairs Katie Fesko and Becky Kirsch have been busy making preparations for this diamond studded affair. Proceeds will help Theatre at the Center continue its mission to bring the magic of live theatre to the northwest Indiana community.
The event features a dazzling menu of signature cocktails and creative cuisine. The southwestern themed menu includes BBQ Pork and hamburger mini sliders, bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers, tomato soup shooters with grilled cheese mini sandwiches, sweet potato fries with chipotle mayo, a full guacamole bar, fried olives and veggie spring rolls. For dessert guests can enjoy marshmallow s’more brownies and a southern strawberry shortcake. Libations include a stunning blue Denim and Diamond signature cocktail, a beautiful Arizona Sunrise and a two steppin’ Texas Tea. There will also be plenty of soft drinks and a full service bar.
The event will be decked out with casino style entertainment. Table games include Black Jack and Texas Hold‘em. Guests can play for chips and cash in their chips for raffle tickets for the Lucky Seven raffle. Prizes include a Trek bicycle, an iPad, a large screen TV, a pair of season tickets to Theatre at the Center mainstage productions and a pair of tickets to your choice of either a comedy event or the Theatre at the Center’s New Year’s Eve event featuring Echoes of Pompeii.
A pair of Chicago Blackhawks tickets, front row, on the glass will be live auctioned to the highest bidder in our live auction at 9:30 p.m. There is also a grand prize raffle for a pair of much sought after tickets to HAMILTON. Raffle ticket are $5 each or five for $20.
According to Kirsch, “Beginning with our raffle of two tickets to the Chicago production of HAMILTON, the committee has pulled out all the stops this year in securing outstanding prizes for the Silent Auction. I’m sure that our most discriminating guests will find items that are on their wish list.”
Highlights from the silent auction include a set of four Walt Disney World park hopper passes; a set of TUMI luggage; a Chicago Blackhawks jersey signed by Patrick Kane; a Stanley Cup puck signed by Brent Seabrook; photographs signed by Chicago Cubs players Kyle Schwarber and Jorge Soler; dinner and a hotel stay at Blue Chip Casino; a family membership at Taltree Arboretum; Shedd Aquarium admission passes; spa packages and much, much more. Tickets are $85 and include food and drink. Every guest will also receive $100 in chips to spend on the tables or in the Lucky Seven raffle. Attire is casual chic.
