This year’s series Calumet Revisited focuses on the cultural and environmental history of the Calumet Region. Series’ discussions are at 5p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month from Sept. through May 2020, in Room 265 at Calumet College of St. Joseph (CCSJ), 2400 New York Avenue, Whiting, Indiana.
Now in its fifth year, the Forum seeks to shed light on the Calumet Region’s rich human history and environmental treasures. The Forum is jointly sponsored by the Association for the Wolf Lake Initiative (AWLI) and CCSJ. Participants in the upcoming sessions will be treated to the history of the region from the Indiana Dunes to Blue Island and locations in between.

Tuesday, December 3, Dr. Katherine Moore Powell, ecohydrologist at the Field Museum, on how climate change.
Tuesday, January 7, David Dolak, professor of instruction at Columbia College, on “Unique Geological Story of the Calumet Region.”

Tuesday, May 5, Madeleine Tudor, an urban anthropologist at the Field Museum, on updates for the proposed Calumet Region Heritage Museum.
