Crown Point families, neighbors and friends were very excited to celebrate a home town hero. Olympic gold in Woman’s soccer recipient, Casey Krueger of Crown Point, Indiana had a homecoming celebration in her honor. Casey along with her son Caleb and husband Cody, were welcomed back from Paris, France with a parade and the town of Crown Point making the 14 th of August, 2024 official Casey Krueger Day.
Casey was brought into town on board a Crown Point fire trucks along with police and official vehicles with lights and sirens as she rounded the square. Jeffries presented Casey with a plaque by city officials declaring Casey Krueger Day.
With her daughter in tow, and at the end of her short speech, the crowd cheered when Casey said, “Go USA,” and the crowd continued to chant “USA, USA.” It was a proud moment for everyone attending and for the city of Crown Point as a whole. “Thank you for being here, the support means the world, this community has always been just so tremendous,” Krueger said to the crowd. “We love this community so much.”
