America’s Race Honoring 9-11 At Indiana Dunes

Be prepared to low crawl, bear crawl, carry sandbags, drag dummies and negotiate numerous obstacles spread throughout the racecourse. Military Veterans and First Responders will get the first chance to sign-up. Registration will then be open to the general public and capped at 250 contestants. The race will have staggered start times so the course will never get too crowded. There will be a water point approximately at the halfway point and snacks and refreshments will be provided close to the finish line.

You will see the obstacles on the beach like the Invasion of Normandy. There is the jungle of the forest like Vietnam. There is a sand hill climb reminding us of the desert of Middle East wars. The Diana of the Dunes Dare staircase is humbling when you think of it as the 9/11 Twin Towers’ stair case.

Now you know where patriots and LOVERS OF FREEDOM at going to be the morning and afternoon of 9/11/22. Come thank and encourage veterans, active duty, and first responders and service dogs

Join us for the FREE AMERICA’S HIKE on 9/11, enter the obstacle race on 9/11 and/or PLEASE SHARE all the posts referring to the 9/11 event, which is taking an enormous effort by Leon’s Triathlon and Leon’s Heroes and a cast of hundreds of volunteers. Why? To bring thanks and honor to all those giving us the freedoms we have today because we have a military on standby, to handle anything against us and every kind of strategy to try and take the U.S.A. down.

Opportunities for spectators will be shared later when this information is available.

This race is part of the Indiana Dunes Outdoor Adventure Festival that is packed with over 70 events in one weekend and showcases the region’s outdoor activities such as hiking, paddling, biking, geo-caching, photography, birding, yoga, and so many others. The festival has events for everyone including families, beginners, experts, and those with limited mobility. Click Here for Outdoor Adventure Festival
