This summer, Merrillville Parks and Recreation is turning up the energy with Sunset Markets at the Dean and Barbara White Community Center, 6600 Broadway. Admission is free to these events featuring great music, local eats and a lively community atmosphere all as the sun sets from 4 to 9 p.m. on the following Thursdays.
• September 24 – DJ Pablo & DJ Louie Diaz as well as a salsa lesson with Jibaro Dance Studio all starting at 6 p.m.
Stroll through more than 25 local vendors, grab a bite from your favorite food trucks, let the kids enjoy the Kid Zone and unwind in the beer garden (21 and older with valid ID). Don’t forget your lawn chairs and your dancing shoes!
