This fall, First United Methodist Church of Crown Point will help paint the city green to honor local veterans. Beginning October 4th, FUMC, corporate sponsors and the Crown Point Community Foundation will distribute 2000 light bulbs free of charge to the public at several local distribution locations throughout the city.
Residents are asked to place these bulbs in windows where they are visible from the street, and to light them beginning October 30th through November 11th in honor of local veterans.
“We are excited for this opportunity to show our thanks and to honor those who have served so well” says Mark Wilkins, senior pastor. “These men and women have sacrificed for our nation and community and it seems only appropriate that we show them the honor and gratitude they so highly deserve.” For more information, please go to www.OperationSaluteCP.com
