31 Days of Halloween In Hammond Has Started

    Who’s ready for another 31 Days of Halloween in Hammond entry? In 2026 Hammond Indiana Has Initiated a city wide Halloween Contest, that is voted on by residents.

     Patrons can Check it out only on Hammond’s Facebook page to see the other spookingly amazing displays they’ve shared since October 1st, and stay tuned for more throughout the month! The Go Hammond Facebook Page is resharing all entries in a post on October 28th and 29th so people can cast their vote. Winners to be announced towards the end of October. Happy haunting, Hammond!
     
     Their first entry in their new Halloween House & Business Decorating Contest was at 7436 Southeastern Avenue, and the resident shared, “Our display is inspired by a haunted cemetery coming alive after dark, with eerie lighting, creepy characters, and plenty of old-fashioned Halloween charm.”

     Stay tuned as we share more entries throughout the month, and don’t forget to vote on October 28th & October 29th! 

HERE’s The Decorated Halloween Homes We Have So Far In Hammond . . .

•  Happy Halloween, 2026, 7425 Colorado Ave., 12 Ft. Skeleton, full size candy bars, music and fog machines, located on the east side, off 80/94 near Cracker Barrel.

•   Henry Hallows, 2026, 4322 Henry Ave., Walk thru haunt with new things being added every year, more animatronics set out closer to Halloween. They have live actors in the yard on Halloween. Animatronics, Live Actors (on Halloween) located on the North  Side, near Olympia Lanes. At Henry Hallows you’ll find a bone-chilling graveyard with a very hungry troll and his skeleton crew, featuring strobe lights and fog. Across the way, you’ll see a picture-perfect family of soul snatchers paired with a crashed circus of evil clowns.”
•    Haunted Cemetery, 2026, 7436 Southeastern Ave., Haunted cemetery coming alive after dare, with eeire lighting and creepy sounds. Their display is inspired by a haunted cemetery coming alive after dark, with eerie lighting, creepy characters, and plenty of old-fashioned Halloween charm.”
•   Mingoduction 2026, 3943 Cameron Ave., Flamingos abducted by skeletons and spooky graveyard. animated figures, tombstones, and inflatables weather permitting. full display on Halloween. Located on the North  Side, near Olympia Lanes.
•   Ride of Die Hammond Bears #1 Fan, 2026, 6749 Kansas Ave., Large Skeleton with dog skeletons. “Ride or Die Hammond Bears #1 Fan”!
•  Salem Forest Cemetery, 2026, 7121 Jackson Ave., If the ghouls and witches don’t get you, the plants will! Most props are handmade. Drop by on a Friday or Saturday night for some extra spooky surprises. Located just north of 80/94 and 41.”Salem Forest Cemetery is a handmade haunt inspired by the mischief and magic that happen where witches meet. Ghouls, critters, and even the plants come alive in this wooded cemetery, where every detail is crafted to distress and impress!” (Calumet Ave)
•    Willow Court Display – 2026, 962 Willow Court, Large display of full size creatures with animtronics, well worth the drive. 
•   7409 Alabama Avenue, and the resident shared, “Halloween has always been something I love, and decorating my home gives me a chance to bring that passion to life. I’ve created a creepy mix of my favorite horror icons and larger-than-life characters.”
