Experience Whiting’s new, inflatable water park and beach rentals opened June 23rd 2021!
The City of Whiting is excited to introduce the return of Whoazone at Whihala, a new, state-of-the-art water attraction coming to Whihala Beach this summer. Whoazone, is a floating water park made up of slides, trampolines, loops, tunnels, and many other play features that create a never-ending obstacle on the lake; the first of its kind on Lake Michigan. Whoazone is fun for all ages and is set to be open for Whihala Beach goers in June.
“We’re always looking for ways to attract more people to our park and beach,” explains Whiting Mayor Joe Stahura. “Whoazone, will offer our residents and visitors a new and unique opportunity to have fun on our lakefront.”
Whoazonet Sports Park will be an extraordinary added feature to Whihala Beach, serving as a new and exciting attraction for residents and visitors alike from Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland to experience. Not only will Whihala offer Whoazone,’s one-of-a-kind water challenge course, there will be variety of beach rentals including stand up paddle boards, kayaks, beach chairs, and umbrellas! Enjoy all of these new features beginning in June 24th through Labor Day weekend.
To bring the “WOW Factor” to Whihala Beach, the City of Whiting worked with Commercial Recreation Specialists, Inc. (CRS) to design and develop this family centric, active water recreation area.
