emergency boat added to Lake Michigan in Whiting Indiana

Whiting Adds Emergency Boat to Their Fleet of Vehicles

The City of Whiting Parks Department is excited to announce the addition of a new emergency boat to their fleet of vehicles. The Wing Inflatables 13’9” PR.4 boat is constructed in Northern California from “the most advanced materials on the planet,” according to the company’s website. It will be used primarily by lifeguards and the Parks Department for routine maintenance, like deploying buoys and dredging.
The boat is considered an emergency rescue boat, so other City departments will have access to it if necessary, and it will also provide the City with an opportunity to give mutual aid to surrounding communities.
The Parks Department would like to thank Mayor Joe and the City of Whiting for their investment to improve the Lake Michigan Lakeshore and provide a safer experience for its patrons.
