**** Recommended **** As part of their Visiting Company initiative, Steppenwolf invited the New Colony & Definition Theatre Company to remount their winter hit, “Byhalia, Mississippi” in Steppenwolf’s new 1700 Theatre. The entire cast has returned to “Byhalia, Mississippi”, a quirky little play with an unexpected twist. I give it 3 ½ Spotlights.
“Byhalia, Mississippi” runs through August 21st in Steppenwolf’s new 1700 Theatre, 1700 N. Halsted, Chicago. Running time is 2 hours, 10 minutes, with an intermission. Performances are Thursday and Friday at 8:00 pm; Saturday at 2:30 and 8:00 pm; and Sunday at 2:30 pm. Tickets range from $30-$35. Paid parking is available in the Steppenwolf Garage adjacent to the theater. FYI (312) 335-1650 or www.steppenwolf.org.
