Veterans Hiking Group To Hike Indiana Dunes

What does the Indiana Dunes, the Great Smokey Mountains, Pike’s Peak in Colorado, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, and Acadia all have in common? A new Veterans Hiking Group that is starting off at the Indiana Dunes!  Organized by local hiker, Ron Seman and several veterans, the group is currently named “Hiking Vets,” and will be traveling across the country in 2022 and beyond.

The first hike will be Saturday, May 7th, at 11am, at the Indiana Dunes State Park Pavilion on the Lake Michigan Beach.  Veterans, their families, their friends, their supportive groups are expected to participate, but everyone is welcome.

As the birthplace of ecology, the Indiana Dunes and IndianaDunesHiking.com, the first Hike will take place in the Indiana Dunes. in the greatest biodiversity density in America 🇺🇸 to build your entire body from mind to bottom including your soul. The hike takes place on a flat dirt trail and a 1/2 mile boardwalk for a total of about 3 miles. We hike in dry/rain/snow. No one has to do the entire 3 miles, everyone can hike their own distance.

Hopefully, the organizers hope that this will lead Vets bicycling, Vets kayaking, Vets snowshoeing, Vets cross country skiing, and the cool Vets sledding.
