Valpo Parks Legacy Moves to It’s Next Chapter with New Director

“I look forward to serving as the next Director and building upon the strong legacy of Valpo Parks,” stated new Director, Kevin Nuppnau.

Valparaiso has been blessed to have access to quality parks, and Nuppnau, the new Director, pledges to “keep raising the standard.” They commit to doing the very best every day to exemplify a positive attitude and a strong work ethic to deliver extraordinary outcomes.

Kevin Nuppnau has the privilege to serve as the new Director of Valpo Parks who has worked with the Valpo Parks for the last five years feels he is truly blessed to have had the opportunity to work alongside my mentor, former Director John Seibert.

John Seibert is a true pioneer in the field of parks and recreation and led several outstanding projects that positively shaped our community. Projects such as Fairgrounds Park, ValPlayso (twice), Central Park Plaza and ValPawraiso Dog Park, are all great examples of John’s leadership. As impressive as this list is, John’s true legacy is his love and compassion for the people he served: his employees and community. We can all agree that Valparaiso is a better place because of John Seibert.

As Valpo Parks looks to its next chapter, the team is eager to continue John’s legacy while working tirelessly to create its own. Our talented staff and dedicated volunteers are committed to designing meaningful spaces, creating impactful experiences, and promoting healthy lifestyles for all.
