Valparaiso Mayor Candidate Hannah Trueblood Recaps the 2023 Campaign

     Hannah Trueblood was Valparaiso’s youngest and first female Mayoral candidate. She made it her turn, wrote her own rules, and made a positive difference in the community. Now, she’s sharing her experience and helping the next generation of leaders run, and WIN at the Valparaiso Public Library on Thursday, January 4th from 4pm – 6pm.
     Join Hannah for an unfiltered evening as she unveils the realities of running for office as an “outsider” against a well-oiled political machine and every other hurdle under the sun.
     From the impact on your daily schedule and family dynamics to the highs and lows of a grassroots campaign, Hannah will share an authentic account of her historic run for Mayor – exploring both the positives and negatives, along with practical insights into thinking outside the box and running outside the lines.
     Whether you’re contemplating a political venture or simply curious about the journey, this event offers a front-row seat. Hannah will share what you truly need to kickstart your own political journey, and why getting involved is more important NOW than ever.
     Located in Valparaiso Public Library Meeting Room A, located at 103 Jefferson St., Downtown Valparaiso, indiana, 46383.
     This event is offered at no charge, and open to everyone. Light refreshments will be served.

Valparaiso Indiana City Hall Passes ARPA Monies Spending 7.65 Million Dollars

     The City of Valparaiso Released their decisions on where they are spending $7,653,012 of the Covid Relief Funds given to them from the Federal Government on Friday, March 25, 2022. This Resolution was voted on Monday, March 28th at 6pm and passed. Only $585,000 was spent on “public impact.”
     The City of Valparaiso plans to respond to the negative economic impacts of the public health emergency, including assistance to households, small businesses, and nonprofits, or aid to impacted industries such as tourism, travel, and hospitality.
