The Joffrey Ballet’s Romantic Tragedy “Romeo and Juliet” is dazzling Audiences

***** Highly Recommended ***** As a lover of all things Shakespeare, I’ve been in alt this fall, what with all the special events planned for Shakespeare 400.  One of the absolute highlights – the Joffrey Ballet’s “Romeo and Juliet”.  I think that Shakespeare would have loved seeing his story of star-crossed lovers told through dance.  I give “Romeo and Juliet” 4 BIG Spotlights.

The Joffrey Ballet’s “Romeo and Juliet” runs through October 23rd at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, 50 East Congress Parkway, Chicago.  Running time is 2 hours, 10 minutes, with an intermission.  Performances are Thursday and Friday at 7:30 pm; Saturday at 2:00 and 7:30 pm; and Sunday at 2:00 pm.  Tickets range from $34-$174.  The best parking option I’ve found is the Park 1 lot on the corner of Wabash and Van Buren, for $13.  FYI (312) 386-8905 or www.joffrey.org.
