Oh Coward wide

Stylish, Sophisticated “Oh, Coward!” is Delightful from Start to Finish

**** Recommended **** Talented casts, elegant settings and stunning period costumes are just some of the reasons that Dead Writers Theatre Collective has become one of my favorite companies.  Their delightful production of Oscar Wilde’s last play, “The Importance of Being Earnest”, earlier this summer, was a hit in my book.  Their new follow-up, “Oh, Coward”, one of Noel Coward’s stylish, sophisticated cabaret-style revues, was delightful from start to finish.  I give it 4 Spotlights.

“Oh, Coward!” runs through September 18th at the Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 N. Southport, Chicago.  Running time is 2 hours, 10 minutes, with an intermission.  Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 pm, Sunday at 2:30 pm; additional evening performances on select Wednesdays.  Tickets are $40.  Paid parking is available in lots adjacent to the Athenaeum.  FYI (773) 935-6860 or www.deadwriters.net.
