St. Patrick’s Celebration in Crown Point

Mayor Uran’s Office of Special Events is planning for the biggest event of the year on March 17, 2020. The 13th  annual nighttime St. Patrick’s Day Parade will commence at dusk featuring emergency vehicles, lit entries, Lake County Pipes and Drums, Grand Marshall Mayor David D. F. Uran, the Junior Grand Marshall Event Logo Contest Winner and much more.

The city searched for the best young artist around as this year’s logo  . Participants combined the St. Patrick’s Day theme. In addition to the logo contest, there is the Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner.

Celebration festivities begin on the historic Crown Point Courthouse Square prior to the parade start at dusk. Vendors will be selling items on the South side of the Courthouse Square such as concessions, parade novelties, traditional Irish heritage items, jewelry, glow sticks and festive Irish themed items beginning at 2pm.
The parade will commence during snow, rain or shine on South Main Street around the square. The Mayor’s Office of Special Events is now accepting applications for both parade entries and food vendors. Applications are available at www.crownpoint.in.gov
