Shirley Heinze looking to Build an Amphitheater at Meadowbrook Nature Preserve Valparaiso Indiana

Shirley Heinze looking to Build an Amphitheater at Meadowbrook Nature Preserve, Valparaiso Indiana

Meadowbrook Nature Preserve has long served as a place of learning, exploration, and stewardship. With over four miles of public hiking trails, Meadowbrook is the perfect place for children and adults to gather outside for fun experiences in nature.

With your support, we will build an amphitheater, so that the community can experience this unique outdoor setting. If we raise $50,000 by August 23, the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority will match your donation!

They envision a place for schools and youth-based organizations to meet and learn outside. An outdoor space where families and friends might gather in nature for fun and celebrations. Community groups and civic clubs can utilize this space for gatherings. Community and corporate leaders will have opportunities to facilitate outdoor meetings surrounded by nature. Nature-themed films and movies will keep you coming back for more! Intimate woodland concerts are sure to please all in attendance.

Join us! You can help by:

  • Making a donation!
  • Telling everyone you know!
  • Joining us for a program when it’s completed!

To donate offline, make checks payable to Shirley Heinze Land Trust, and mail/drop off to our office at 109 W 700 N; Valparaiso, IN 46385. Please designate the gift to the “amphitheater project” on the memo line or in a note. If you have questions please contact Bridget Harrison at (219) 242-8558. Thank you for your support!
