Here are a few tips to follow when going out to keep yourself safe on these days.

The best way to stay safe on new year’s eve is to travel with a group of people you know and trust. This way, you can all take care of each other while everyone enjoys the night. However, you should lay down some groundwork so everyone knows what to expect, like designating a driver.
Don’t Drive While Drunk
Drunk driving is a huge issue around the new year’s celebrations, as so many people need to get back from those large parties after drinking all night. While it can be a lot of fun, thousands of people leaving an event with a lot of alcohol leads to many accidents. That’s just one of the disturbing facts of drunk driving on New Year’s Day.
Avoid the Early Morning
The most dangerous time of the new year is just after major parties wind down when people start leaving for home. That means the hours from one to three o’clock in the morning are the most dangerous, as there’s a higher chance of drunk drivers on the roads.

Another cause for worry is the widespread use of fireworks in celebrations during the night. Fireworks are beautiful but dangerous in the hands of people who don’t know the proper safety protocols. A good safety tip for going out during the new year is to avoid using fireworks or being near people who play with fireworks to prevent any injuries caused by these items.
