Opportunity Enterprises will host their annual Celebration of Achievement award ceremony online on March 31, 2021 at 7pm CDT. The awards are presented to individuals with disabilities in recognition of outstanding achievement. Awards are also presented to outstanding volunteers, staff, and businesses for supporting individuals with disabilities. An inspirational program will be hosted by Marc Ruiz, OE Chairperson and Partner at Oak Partners, Inc.
The clients, staff, volunteers, and businesses were nominated by OE employees and a blind vote was held by the Board of Directors to select the award recipients. Being recognized this year are the following recipients of the 2021 Celebration of Achievement awards:
Clients of the Year: Maggie Martinez, Daily Living Skills; Robert Alvey, Enriching Possibilities; Tony Cote, Renewed Horizons; Sam Kuyrkendall, QUEST; Darryl Tisdale, TREND; Bob Cloyd, Residential; TJ Demmon, Social Enterprises; and Morgan Lain, JobSource.
Advocates of the Year: Cathie Dull, Jeanne Baird Volunteer of the Year; Rachel Engel, Jessica Wolfe Outstanding Direct Support Professional; Robin Brown, Outstanding Staff Member; Strack & Van Til, JobSource Partner; and 1st Source Bank, Business of the Year.
The 2021 Celebration of Achievement Awards Ceremony is presented by Urschel Laboratories Philanthropic Committee, and is also made possible by lead sponsors, including: The Times Media Group, Chester, Inc., NIPSCO, Steel Cities Steels, Inc., Centier Bank, First Merchants Bank, Teachers Credit Union, The Grossbauer Group, and 27 Entertainment. The virtual event will feature an evening full of inspiring stories and an opportunity to learn about the mission of Opportunity Enterprises.
