Memorial Opera House’s first mainstage musical of the year is almost here! We can’t wait to kick off our 2026 Adventure by bringing the Renaissance to life on our stage.
Book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell Music and Lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick Conceived by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick
February 27 – March 15
Every great journey begins with a wild idea! Step into the Renaissance—sort of—in this side-splitting musical where two desperate playwrights hatch a daring plan to outshine Shakespeare—by inventing the musical. Packed with witty wordplay, dazzling choreography, and theatrical chaos, Something Rotten is a madcap quest through ambition, absurdity, and creative brilliance.
Something Rotten! is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
Something Rotten! — where rival poets dare defy the Bard with song, dance, and scandalous jazz hands. Thou wouldst not wish to miss the musical that asketh: “To be… or not to be… a musical?”
“If thou cravest laughter loud and melodies merry, hie thee to our website and claim thy tickets anon.”
