With Cafe 306’s Floridian inspired menu and desserts, you’re sure to feel like you’ve landed on the beach without leaving the Region. If a tropical vacation is not on the schedule for you this year, a trip to Downtown Valparaiso’s Café 306 may, at the very least, put you in a Florida-state of mind.
In a relaxed and laid back atmosphere, Chef and manager Christian Navarro and wait staff make customers feel like family. Having been a part of the family owned Maria Elenas in Valparaiso for ten years, this family-style approach comes naturally. “Many customers are asking for previous items they remember from Maria Elenas, and we hope to bring many of them back as time goes forward,” stated Christian.
Having been the head cook at Marina Cantina in Panama Beach Florida, the tropical theme of this new food establishment was created with a “summertime atmosphere and a chill attitude.”
Some of these include such warm-weather sounding menu items as Baja Chicken Roll up with chipotle ranch, Club grande with fresh fruit, Seasons Primavera with Chicken along with a full complement of south Florida inspired favorites. Additionally, Café 306 offers traditional fare such as Steak Rigatoni; Cheesy beef and Potato wrap; Roast beef on a French roll with au jus and pepperoncinis; and their own special Calabrese. And after dinner you can choose one of the café’s delicious and extraordinary tasting desserts such as whipped seasonal fruit, homemade cream pie or Tiramisu cake and more.
Suffice it to say that the menu of the Cafe 306 has something on it for everyone’s palette complete with a “Make Your Own Salad,” a new Mac ‘n Cheese Menu; and a Children’s menu.
