Munster Parks and Recreation has hosted some form of a Market for the last 8 Summer Seasons. This year, their 9th Market Season, they are excited to introduce the NEW Community Market!
This year is going to be a BIG year. Their team at Munster Parks and Recreation is excited to launch our new weekly Community Market. This market will last 20 weeks in duration, beginning Tuesday, May 28th running trough Tuesday, October 15th from 3:00 – 8:00pm.
The Community Market is a seasonal market offering fresh, local produce, flowers, prepared foods, hand crafted items, and local business vendors. We will host a wide range of family and nutritional programs, including live entertainment, demonstrations, master gardener consultations, youth activities, and other special event days.
Plus, they are working with businesses to sponsor local community programs (i.e. Girl Scouts, Munster Lacrosse, Boy Scouts, Youth Organizations, etc.) at a reduced cost.
This market is for the community, and we cannot wait to see all that this new market season will have in store.
You will be able to browse among vendors offering fresh produce, fruit and nuts, jams and jellies, flowers, herbs and baked goods.  In addition there will be food vendors as well as handcrafted arts and crafts. Weekly Kids Activities and special themed days: Located by the Lions Shelter. Kid’s playground with nice Restrooms are located nearby.
Hosted by the Munster Parks and Recreation Department. Call 219-836-6926 for more information.FIND OUT MORE:
