It’s that time of year again, PanoramaNow contributing writer, Valencia “Mother Diva” Dantzler celebrates her 11 year anniversary of producing house music/electronic dance music health and wellness DJ sets at the Richard J. Daley Center.
I can’t believe it’s been 11 years. This year is very special, because I started the event on April 16, 2014 which happened to be on a Wednesday and this year it also falls on a Wednesday. Also according to scripture April 16th is the resurrection of Yahshua the Messiah aka Jesus the Christ.
This year’s event is dedicated to April Child Abuse Prevention Month.
This month is a time for communities, organizations, and individuals to focus on raising awareness about child abuse prevention and working to create safer environments for children.
Raising Awareness:
Child Abuse Prevention Month helps to educate the public about the signs of child abuse, the importance of prevention, and the impact of abuse on children.
Promoting Prevention:
It encourages communities to take action to prevent child abuse and neglect through various programs, initiatives, and community collaborations.
Supporting Families:
It highlights the importance of strengthening families and providing resources to support them, as strong families are a key component of child abuse prevention.
Parents can often feel overwhelmed. It is important for parents to take 10 to 20 minutes to themselves each day to practice deep breathing and meditation. These techniques can aid in preventing physical and emotional abuse. Often times we can say things that can harm our children for life. Words can hit harder than a fist.

Remembering POPPA T AKA Tito Jackson

Toriano Adaryll Jackson The First, was born October 15, 1953 in Gary Indiana to Katherine and Joseph Jackson. He was the 3rd child born to this union.
The young Jackson brothers often sang songs while during chores, mainly songs they heard on the radio.
Now Joe Jackson had a band called “The Falcons” and Mom Katherine enjoyed country and western music she would often sing to. Music was in Tito’s DNA.
