“Moby Dick” at Lookingglass is Superbly Acted, Visually Stunning and Incredibly Athletic

**** Recommended **** After a national tour, Jeff Award winner “Moby Dick” has returned to Lookingglass Theatre for the summer.  Director David Catlin’s original adaptation of Herman Melville’s classic novel, “Moby Dick”, is superbly acted, visually stunning and incredibly athletic.  Kudos to Sylvia Hernandez-DiStasi, Artistic Director and Co-Founder of The Actors Gymnasium, on her brilliant circus choreography.  Although it does run a little long, “Moby Dick” is well worth your time.  I give it 4 Spotlights.

“Moby Dick” runs through September 3rd at Lookingglass Theatre, located inside Chicago’s historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan at Pearson, Chicago.  Running time is 2 hours, 40 minutes, with two intermissions.  Performances are Wednesday through Sunday at 7:30 pm, with 2:00 pm matinees on Thursdays (except August 3rd), Saturday and Sunday. There is an additional performance on Tuesday, August 1st at 7:30 pm.  Tickets range from $45-$80.  Discounted parking is now available at 3 locations: John Hancock Center Self Park; Olympia Centre Self Park; and Water Tower Place.  FYI (312) 337-0665 or www.lookingglasstheatre.org.
