**** Recommended **** “Million Dollar Quartet” is an experience, an evening of in-your-face rock and roll! More than half a million people have seen the show during its six-year run in Chicago. Unfortunately, that run is coming to an end on January 17th, so for a few more days, you can still see Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley rock. We even got a Christmas bonus song – a rockin’ rendition of “Run, Run, Reindeer” with the entire cast! If you have the time, get there, it’s a great show! I give it 4 Spotlights.
“Million Dollar Quartet” runs through January 17th at the Apollo Theatre, 2540 N. Lincoln, Chicago. Running time is 75 minutes, no intermission. Performances are Wednesdays at 2:00 and 7:00 pm; Thursdays at 7:30; Fridays at 8:00; Saturdays at 5:00 and 8:00; and Sundays at 3:30 and 6:30. Tickets range from $25-$75. Paid parking is available adjacent to the theater. FYI (773) 935-6100, www.apollochicago.com or www.ticketmaster.com.
