Marian Theatre Guild Presents F.A.H.E.T.G. by Gayle Faulkner Kosalko
After seeing the Marian Theatre Guild’s “The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society Murder Mystery,” you’ll remember how funny it was even if you can’t remember the name. It’s long on title and long on laughs.
“There are several plays involving these characters,” explained Jayma Kay Emerson, director. “I previously directed the Christmas Carol one at Footlight Players in Michigan City several years ago and really had a great time with it. This one is a great murder mystery comedy for the Guild’s spring show.”
The cast includes Bonnie Johnson, Susan Bobos, Rip Johnson, Laura Mazzuca Toops and Karin Coleman.
Here’s the story. Every drama group has experienced the horrors of what can go wrong on opening night, and the ladies of the F.A.H.E.T.G. Dramatic Society are no different, with the possible exception that almost everything that could happen does! Scenery collapses, cues are missed, lines forgotten, and the sound effects take on a strange note at times, as the ladies present their ambitious evening’s entertainment with the cunning whodunit, “Murder at Checkmate Manor.”
And to add to it, there’s a Film, a Fashion Show and a Murder Mystery Quiz, complete with a Prize,” Jayma added. “You won’t want to miss this hilarious show!”
“Farnsdale (etc.etc.)” runs April 21, 22 and 28, and 29th. Saturday shows are at 8:15p.m. with Sunday matinees at 3p.m. Dinner Theater is available on Saturday performances. Please inquire when calling the Box Office)
