“Life Sucks” is a Very Funny Homage to Chekov

**** Highly Recommended **** “Life Sucks”. At least that’s what the characters in Aaron Posner’s brilliant new play think. We know this because they tell us so before the play ever begins. In fact, they continue to stop and talk directly to the audience – sometimes even asking for audience participation – right up to the conclusion. The Lookingglass cast is so good you’ll almost forget they’re acting. “Life Sucks” is a very funny homage to Chekov, and I give it 4 Spotlights.

“Life Sucks” runs through November 6th at Lookingglass Theatre, located inside Chicago’s historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan at Pearson, Chicago.  Running time for the four-act play is 2 hours, 30 minutes, with an intermission.  Performances are Wednesday and Friday at 7:30 pm; Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 and 7:30 pm.  Tickets start at $35.   Discounted parking is now available at 4 venues: John Hancock Center Self Park; Olympia Centre Self Park; Asbury Plaza; Water Tower Place.  Be sure to get your ticket validated at the box office.  FYI (312) 337-0656 or
