The Lake County Fair runs from August 4th thru Sunday, August 13th, 2023. The fair is known for it’s Huge carnival midway, lots of good food, free entertainment, free contests for the kids, farm animal shows, horse shows, free horse shows everyday, Silly Safari, motor sports in the Grandstand, agricultural exhibits, free Petting zoo, Daily ride specials and much, much more.
Admission is free before 3 PM on Monday through Thursday! Frugal Friday. There will be $2 food items from the Food Vendors! There is free entertainment on 2 stages – listed below. Patrons are encouraged to take advantage of the FREE Park and Ride.
Park for free at Crown Point High School and take the free shuttle bus right to the gate! Busses run from Noon until closing. Regular Admission is $5.00 for adults. $2.00 for Children (ages 9-12) and children 8 and under are free. Parking is $5.00 on the fairgrounds.
Exhibit buildings are open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, except for the Industrial Building which opens at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and both Fridays of the fair. All buildings close at 8:00 PM on Sunday. The Carnival Rides over 30 rides, start at 12:00 Noon
There are free kids shows, silly safari shows and petting zoo! Another popular event is the horse shows and browsing all of the exhibit buildings and animal barns for free. Public Transit day is Thursday, public transit rides to the fairgrounds are only $1.00

One of the best carnival ride values in the area is our Mega Ride Pass. With the pass you can ride all of the North American Midway rides any day and at any time during the fair.
One of the popular features of the Lake County Fair is 4-H. The 4-H members of Lake County exhibit their projects here at the fair. You can see their exhibits in the cattle barns, horse barn and the 4-H exhibit building during the fair.
